Sam and the Snake
Sam is a snake lover. He has at least 15 books on snakes. He's read the books so much that he can identify and list characteristics of most of them. And if we try to skip the snake house at the zoo . . . well, let's just say we don't. A few weeks ago, at the Father and Son camp out, Sam had his first real life encounter with a snake. It is priceless!
(just so you know, Sam is saying "a coral snake")

Priceless is right! I love that Josh continued to record. I probably would have had the same reaction too.
I know that Sam was so upset, but I couldn't stop laughing. It was just too cute.
Mike and I are cracking up. I would have had a much worse reaction to the snake, I am terrified of them.
OK...so, does Sam still like snakes or can you now skip the reptile house at the Zoo? Too funny....I love Sam...and Benj...Jacob is going to miss them both!!!! Boo-hoo....
That was so good and funny! It's awesome that you caught it on tape!
There aren't any good comments left to say...unless we just copy what everyone else said! We got a good laugh out of it, too! Some day you'll have to show his wife and kids that one!!!! :)
Josh did a great job getting it all on camera. I feel bad for laughing b/c Sam was so scared. That was a great video. Maybe you should send it to America's Funniest Video. I love the part when Sam said, "I want to get out of this park." I think that's what he said. Thanks for sharing.
WOW! A coral snake! That's amazing! I've unfortunately seen a lot of snakes but never a coral snake out in the open. That's crazy! My favorite part of the video is Josh laughing as he's trying to calm Sam down. I think I would have screamed, grabbed Sam & ran. :)
My boys came home with all kinds of stories of things Sam saw. A Black bear, a coral snake. I wasn't sure what to believe. But I'm a believer of the coral snake. That is the best. Reminds me of the firework show at the Collingwoods. It's funny how he can love something so much and then be soooo afraid. What a priceless moment.
That is just way too funny! I feel bad to hear him cry, but the irony of his love for snakes just makes this clip hysterical!! Good job Josh on catching the moment! Priceless!
That is the best ever! You can play it at his wedding reception!!
Very funny. My little brother Mike found a tick on his clothing on our last campout. He started to dance around like a madman and got quite wet as he used an entire bottle of water trying to get it off of off his pants. After that, he wouldn't walk in any grass. Made for a boring campout. I wish I had that on film.
